Under Ofsted's new report card system, schools no longer receive a single overall judgement. Instead, inspectors evaluate individual aspects of school performance. The inspection confirmed that safeguarding standards are met, while leadership and governance and personal development and wellbeing were both judged to meet the Expected Standard. 

Inspectors recognised the considerable progress made since the school joined Rise Multi Academy Trust, highlighting the positive impact of strengthened leadership, carefully prioritised improvement planning and additional trust support. The report notes that leaders have secured important developments that are already making a positive difference for pupils while ensuring improvements are implemented thoughtfully and sustainably. 

The report celebrates the school's caring Christian ethos and strong sense of community. Inspectors found that pupils are confident, feel safe and are proud of their school. Behaviour has improved significantly, with pupils recognising the positive changes that have taken place. Classrooms are calm and orderly, relationships between staff and pupils are strong, and pastoral support was identified as a particular strength of the school. 

Inspectors also praised the school's personal development programme, recognising the many opportunities pupils have to develop leadership, confidence and resilience through enrichment activities, pupil leadership roles and trust-wide experiences. Staff wellbeing was also highlighted positively, with inspectors recognising the high-quality professional development and support available through the trust. 

Vikki Wilkins, Headteacher of Three Trees CofE Junior Academy, said: 

"We are pleased that the inspection recognised the progress our school has made and the positive culture that our staff and pupils have worked so hard to create. We are particularly proud that inspectors recognised the improvements in behaviour, pastoral care and the strong sense of belonging experienced by our children." 

Jo Westaby, Executive Headteacher, said: 

"The report reflects the determination of our staff, governors and trust colleagues to secure long-term improvements for every child. While we know there is more work to do, it is encouraging that inspectors recognised the significant progress already made and the strong foundations now in place." 

Inspectors identified further areas for development relating to attendance, achievement, curriculum implementation and inclusion. The report also recognises that leaders have already introduced a range of evidence-informed improvements in these areas and that these changes now require time to become fully embedded so that pupils continue to benefit from sustained improvements over time.
