Pupil Parliament

Hello! We are the Pupil Parliament at Three Trees Academies. We’re a group of children chosen by our classmates to represent their ideas and help make our school even better.

What do we do?

  • We listen to everyone’s suggestions and share them in our meetings.
  • We work together to make changes that help our school community.
  • We plan projects like charity events, eco‑friendly ideas, and fun activities.
  • We speak up for pupils so everyone has a voice.

Why is it important? Because our opinions matter! Pupil Parliament helps us learn about democracy, responsibility, and how to make decisions that affect our school.

Here are some quotes from some of our older Pupil Parliament members:

'I enjoy going out into the community and spreading joy. When we visited the care home, I loved seeing the smiles on everyone's faces'–Melissa Y6

'I love being a member of Pupil Parliament because it gives me a chance to make school a better place'- Y5

'I like being a Pupil Parliament Member because: I like doing good stuff for the school, i love having responsibility and I love doing all the stuff that we do. I particularly enjoyed giving Christmas cards to the people at the care home'- Jessica Y6

What Have We Done?

  • Pupils visited St Stephen’s Church to deliver Harvest food donations, supporting members of our local community.
  • Year 5 and Year 6 Pupil Parliament representatives met with Mrs Baird to discuss and plan our Christmas activities.
  • We organised and took part in a range of Christmas activities across school, at home, and within the wider community. These included:
    • A Christmas tree decoration competition
    • Three Trees Advent doors
    • Year group Christmas parties
    • Creating and delivering handmade Christmas cards to residents at a local care home

What is coming up?

  • We are currently busy planning our Easter activities and cannot wait to share them with you all!
