EARLY HELP

There may be times when your child, you and your family require some advice and support.  Early Help is a system to ensure that you get the right help and support needed.  This is provided through the Pingle Academy early help offer. We have a strong relationship with their team of family resource workers and are able to make referrals to them with your permission.  The team can advise you of other agencies that can offer support for you and your family and also visit your child / children at home and in school to complete direct work.  Please see the information in the documents below.

Summer Holiday Activities 2025

Children have all been sent home with a booklet sharing activities that are taking place across the South Derbyshire area over the six-week holiday. Lots of these activities are free! Keep busy and have fun!

A copy of the booklet is attached in the links below.

Self-Care during the holidays

Summer can be a welcome chance to rest and reset. For many, it’s an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with ourselves and the things we enjoy. But the holidays don’t feel relaxing for everyone. For young people, the change in routine, time away from friends and uncertainty about what’s next can be unsettling. That’s why looking after mental health over the summer matters. The break offers space to pause and recharge, but also to build habits that support wellbeing in the long term.

Below is a link to a set of simple activities and a step-by-step guide to help young people create their own self-care plan during the summer holidays.

Christmas Time Support

Christmas is a time many of us look forward to for a variety of reasons. But this time of year can come with added pressures, particularly if we set out to give our families the ‘perfect’ Christmas.

Please see below a link to a website with guidance on how to manage the expectations of children at this time of the year:
