Enabling children to flourish and succeed

Internet Safety Day 2026 Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI

Parents and caregivers

Parents and carers, you play a crucial role in empowering and supporting children and young people to use digital technologies responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively in an ever changing, digital world. Indeed, parental influence, guidance and education have a significant and long-lasting impact on children’s safety and well-being in the online world.

Therefore, there are plenty of ways for you to participate in Safer Internet Day 2026:

  • Be curious not furious ensuring there is an open dialogue with your children.
  • As a family, completing the online safety family agreement.
  • Talking to your child about AI
  • Educate them to use digital technologies safely and positively
  • Acting as digital role models.

Please watch the Online Safety Workshop which lasts  around 40 minutes and is a really useful webinar from our friends at NSPCC.
